Hello Friends,

This week our TGIF wine will be the 2018 Dorigo Vineyard Grenache.  The Dorigo Vineyard is a fairly new site in Ballard Canyon and we were thrilled to be able to work with this fruit in 2018.  Grenache typically is not overpowering with tannins and true to Joey's winemaking style this is a very elegant and drinkable experience.  Regularly $38/bottle, TGIF=$25 for wine club members.

This week our COVID schedule is as follows:

**Thursday at the TASTING ROOM, curbside pick from 4-6 pm

**Friday at the WINERY drive-through experience from 4-6 pm

**Saturday at the WINERY drive-through experience from 12-4 pm

I'm not gonna lie, we here at Transcendence are frustrated that folks can walk into a liquor store, grocery store or Walmart and buy wine but can't walk into our tasting room and buy wine.  However, just like you, we are working on our endurance and patience and we appreciate you coming to our drive-through experience and your continued support and love.

We have had so much fun this week POURING IT FORWARD!!  If you would like us to deliver or ship a bottle or two of wine to a friend in need, we would be happy to! Or if you are at our drive-through and would like to pour it forward to the next customer, I am sure the favor will come back around!

I'm not sure how much longer this sheltering in place will last. Like most of you, I'm not sure how much more I can take.  I do know that when I see your smiling faces and hear how a glass of wine made your day just a bit brighter it makes me feel like I can go on a few more days.

Hello Friends,

Like most of you, we would have never predicted and therefore had no way to prepare that a virus would compromise so many of our livelihoods. 

If you are reading this letter, you most definitely made a conscious choice to continue to support Joey and I and Transcendence. The outpouring of emails, phone calls, and texts of you all checking on us meant the world to us. All of the TGIF orders over the past month have kept us going.  Dropping off wine at your homes and meeting you in the parking lot for pick-ups have been the best part of our days.  Words cannot express how much your love and support mean to us. Thank you, it has made a difference in our lives and our employees; Tina, Caitlin, and Shannon. 

Our hope and prayers for all of you are that you and your families stay healthy. Secondly, that your personal economy is only temporarily affected, and you bounce back better than before. And last, that the connections you have made with your family and friends during quarantine are lasting and improve the quality of your life forever.

We are looking forward to seeing you all again, and I hope by the next wine club letter (October), this will be a distant and bizarre memory.

Celebrating the week, the work we have accomplished, releasing the stress and raising a glass to one another is more important than ever!!

Our TGIF wine this week is the 2018 La Pareja.  La Pareja is a Spanish word, meaning the couple. This beautiful blend of 50/50 Syrah and Grenache is a perfect way to toast the end of another hard week in this COVID craziness.  Regularly $38, TGIF =$25 just for wine club members.

Do you still need to pick up your wine club?  We will be open via our drive through again this Friday and Saturday. Friday from 4-6 pm and Saturday from 12-4 pm.  You just enter the gate between 313 and 315 North F Street, drive on through and we will put the wine safely right in your car.

We are also happy to provide free local deliveries and you can continue to stash and ship as well. 

Do you know someone who could use a pick me up? How about a care package of wine?  POUR IT FORWARD PEOPLE!  Send a couple of bottles of our TGIF wines or a gorgeous bottle of the 2019 Rose to a friend in need.

Hello Friends!

How ya'll doing?  Your wine club will be ready on Friday, and we are doing something different, and hopefully, we all will some fun and get out of our houses.  On Friday, 4/10/20, from 12-4, you can pick up your wines at our Winery location in Lompoc (not the tasting room). You will enter at 313 North F Street and drive through and exit through our G Street gate.  The whole crew will be out there with masks and gloves, giving air hugs and packing up your shipments.  

We will have TGIF wine available as well as any wine that we have stashed for you. Our TGIF wine this week is the 2018 Tempranillo.  Let me know if you would like to pick up on Friday, stash, or ship with your wine club on Monday.

I know you are all struggling. You might be lonely, or you might be seeing too much of your current household.  Either way, we hope you enjoy a little traffic jam at Transcendence.

Wouldn't it be great if this was all a big April Fools joke?  What is not a joke is that this will be our last TGIF for the 2017 Kessler Haak Pinot Noir.  Regularly $48/bottle TGIF=$25/bottle. Let me know if you would like to pick up, stash, free local delivery, or ship with your wine club order.

I will be sending out wine club emails today.  You will have a week to make any changes; credit cards charged on April 8th.  We are planning a fun "drive-through pick up party" on April 10th.  At our winery location in Lompoc, you will enter from  F Street and exit at G street.  I know we have thrown better pick up parties, and we are likely not going to be on roller skates, but we have thought about it! It will have an Easter theme, and I will send out more details in a later email.

Hello Friends,

How are you doing?  I hope you are hanging in there and finding new ways to connect to each other.  The personal connection seems to be one thing that I enjoy having more time for.  I have so many group chats going and have found time to call people I have not talked to in years.  I am grateful to say that everyone I know is healthy.  

We are going to continue to stay open a few hours a week for pick up, and we love making deliveries.  It is fun to drive around and spread some cheer, they are free, just ask!

Hello Friends,

Let's be real..there are times that I think I am going to lose it and I am fighting the urge to panic daily. I'm fighting this urge by concentrating on all of the things I am grateful for.

I am so comforted by my friends, family, neighbors, customers, and community. I am so thankful for the small group of friends I work out with every morning. I am grateful for my partnership with Joey and the fact that I genuinely love to spend time with my teenagers.  I'm sure so many of you, like us, are monetarily affected, and for that you have my full heart of empathy coming your way.  So many others are impacted by working from home, your kids staying home, and severe health risks.  We are together in solidarity!!

But I am ESPECIALLY thankful it is not Dry January!!  Drinking some wine or cocktails is a full-on lifesaver!  At this time, our TGIF wine deal couldn't be more critical.

I am sitting here at the bar with Caitlin writing this email, and Tina is filling my glass repeatedly with this delicious Sparkling. I am overwhelmed with the love I see around me.  We at Transcendence are accustomed to implementing a high level of sanitation in our tasting room, and we will continue to do so throughout this situation. I am confident that this family that we call Transcendence would never put anyone at risk by coming to the tasting room if they were sick or have been exposed.  At the time, we are business as usual.

If you are in a high-risk group or feel more comfortable not being in the tasting room,  we would like to offer the following:

Free local wine deliveries with a minimum of three bottles.  When you email me, indicate that you would like a delivery.

If you would like to pick up wine at the tasting room, we would be happy to meet you in the parking lot.  Please call the tasting room 805-743-4094 during business hours or contact me directly to make arrangements.

I LOVE Day Light savings.  For me, more sun the better and I am really looking forward to longer days which means more time at the beautiful central coast beaches.

As you know, I love any excuse to celebrate! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and TGIF! We will have some great chocolate and sweets for you while you pick up your wine club. Also, we are finishing up our website and will have a photographer around 5:30, so if you want to join us, please come a little early.

La Pareja means the couple, so it is totally perfect that we have our 2018 La Pareja (Syrah/Grenache) blend for TGIF this week. Normally, $40 TGIF=$25. Let me know if you would like to pick, stash, or ship. We ship wine club on Monday, so you can definitely add some La Pareja with your shipment. Just a side note, we bottled this wine in January. It is a little tight at the moment, but when it is finished with bottle shock, it will be exceptional as usual.

Last, don't forget about our TGIF Party on 2/28. It will be at the Mission Bar and Grill from 5-8. I will start asking for RSVP's next week.

Hello Friends,

After a wonderful and family filled December, we started out 2020 running! I went back to grad school. It is a degree I started almost 19 years ago and put on hold while we built our first winery and then started having all kinds of babies and stuff. I am finishing my degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Law School. I was feeling pretty good about having some extra time to devote to this unfinished business, but I was crazy; there is never enough time. However, I am loving it! LOVING IT!!  I couldn't do it without the help of Joey and Tina, who have entirely picked up the extra slack at home and at the winery.

Joey has been running as well…he started out the new year with three bottling dates back to back. There are so many new wines that we are releasing in the next year. The last two harvests have been abundant in Syrah, Grenache, Sangiovese, and Tempranillo, to name a few from unique vineyards around the valley.  Soon they will be coming your way as single vineyards wines and also several blends.  Needless to say, Joey has been having a lot of fun in the cellar.

Have you visited the new website? It definitely needed an update, and it still needs a few more finishing touches. I think it eloquently expresses who we are. And who we are is all of you beautiful people who enjoy our wine. I just loved looking through the photos of the past year of everyone smiling, enjoying their friends, dancing, and sitting around the Transcendence table.  We have hosted girls' night, birthday parties, going away parties, work parties, and of course, our wonderful TGIF nights. Our social media is filled with folks who have tagged us while enjoying a bottle of our wine. They are sharing wine with their family and friends at home or in some exotic location.  The vibe is always positive at Transcendence, and chances are you will run into someone you know or meet a new friend. 

Thank you to Tina, Caitlin, and Shannon, who know how to host a great party and do a fantastic job of taking care of you all.

I have some great things to share this week...

As you all know from my emails, the new release wines are currently in the tasting room.  Wine Club will be ready to pick up on Wednesday, February 11th.

This week's TGIF is the brand new 2017 Kessler Haak Pinot Noir and it is not too late to add some TGIF wine to your wine club.  So let me know if you would like to pick up or have the wine shipped with your wine club on the 17th of February.

Next Friday should be a ton of fun if you are picking up your wine club, we will be having a special Valentine's TGIF with delicious chocolates and lots of LOVE!

I hope all is well and 2020 is off to a great start.We just completed our first of three bottling dates this winter and it was a huge success.  Some great wines are coming your way in the very near future!!  New Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, Syrahs our beloved La Pareja (Syrah/Grenache Blend) and new to our wine club a Tempranillo!!!
